Dos Santos deal is done! (04.06.08)

In January, Spurs Odyssey was the first to pass on the news that the club had a genuine interest in Giovanni Dos Santos, and published the story below. I can exclusively reveal that the club has signed the player (04.06.08) but the deal will not yet be announced due to an outstanding issue. I presume that is financial, but expect an announcement soon, and remember, you heard about Dos Santos first at Spurs Odyssey

Spurs interested in Dos Santos
Spurs Odyssey understands that Juande Ramos is using his Spanish contacts to try and secure the services of Barcelona's 18 year old starlet winger - Giovanni Dos Santos.
Whether Spurs would be able to secure the winger on a permanent or loan basis remains to be seen, but I understand that a fee of around £15 million euros has been proposed.
Dos Santos is certainly an exciting prospect. He plays on the left or right and can cross effectively with both feet. Dos Santos already has 4 full international caps, having represented Mexico against Panama, Brazil, Nigeria and Guatemala. He spent the 2006-7 season in the Barcelona B team, and this season has played for 90 minutes for Barca just 3 times, scoring in their Champions League game against Stuttgart.
Also on the transfer front, Spurs Odyssey can confirm that the Alan Hutton deal is not off, as the Scottish full-back spends a few days thinking about the offer that was accepted by his club.
