The "Unofficial" Spurs Handbook!
Do you remember when the Spurs Handbook used to look like this?
Do you remember when one of the things you looked forward to at the first home game of the season was to get a copy of the club handbook in your mitts? You know - the handbook that would detail all the results, appearances, goal-scorers and some of the details about the previous season?
These days Tottenham Hotspur Football Club tend to wait firstly for the end of the transfer window to see who has been signed, and then they have to finalise appointments and contracts for new members of staff. Currently, if you believe the rumours, Spurs have yet to make a decision about the manager to take us forward in this and ensuing seasons.
Somehow the new style handbooks don't cause the same anticipation and excitement, when we need to read about last season either before or early this term.
May I therefore have the audacity to commend to you "Spurs Odyssey:2006-07 Season Review as a potential replacement for the gap in your library?
The book is over 200 pages, and contains all of my exclusive match reports from last season. My reports are not afraid to speak the truth about a performance of an individual or the team - or even the manager! They do not have to conform to the THFC "House Style", but on the other hand they are written in a style which is usually even-tempered and in restrained language. (Usually!)
The book has an index with details of each result, the goal-scorers, and our position in the Premiership (as it was called last season) after each game. There are appendices detailing players' appearances and goalscorers in every competition.
The book is available online at all well-known retailers, and will be found in some shops in the Tottenham catchment area (if you can't find it, why not ask about it?)
The best price currently would appear to be on Amazon, so why not check out these links:-

The Spurs Odyssey Season Review has the potential to be an annual publication if you want it to be. The book is already the subject of several "five-star" reviews on Amazon.co.uk, so for the price of little more than two programmes (plus postage), why not give it a try?
