The AVB 02 operating system has downloaded

In the wake of the recent availability of Apple's IOS7 upgrade, I can report that Tottenham Hotspur have downloaded their own new operating system "AVB 02".

Some of the benefits of this latest operating system are as follows:-

1. A cool, calm and un-flustered approach to management at the very highest level, with none of the drama associated with Chelsea's recent reversion to a previous model of their own operating system.

2. In association with the Baldini attachment, a thorough overhaul of the Tottenham Hotspur team, which despite the loss of one new world superstar to Real Madrid (which itself has upgraded from the Mourinho system), has led to definite improvement in the efficiency, effectiveness and potential of the playing staff.

3.The once important Modric programme, which unfortunately had to be deleted, has finally been enhanced by the arrival of Eriksen, who has made the world of football sit up and take notice of his play-making skills, which will surely come to the fore in tomorrow's game.

4. The Parker model of tigerish defence, coupled with the occasional use of the Huddlestone passing skill, has been thoroughly upgraded by the arrival of Paulinho, who operates superbly in all parts of the field and has already scored three times this season, which is three times more than Parker and Huddlestone combined last season.

5. The ageing Gallas ingredient, which played a scoring part in last year's home defeat by Chelsea (Spurs 2 Chelsea 4 - 20.10.12) has been discarded. A fix for this component has been inserted in the shape of Chiriches, who made a league cup debut on Tuesday, but will not supercede Dawson and Vertonghen tomorrow.

6. The AVB 02 upgrade facilitates a more efficient defence, which in 9 games this season has conceded just one goal. The flair of the previous left-back has been usurped by a younger, stronger and perhaps faster component - the Danny Rose - who is 90% certain to return tomorrow.

7. The AVB 02 download seems to have enabled the Spurs right back's form to continue at an even higher level, making advances to his defensive ability week by week.

8. Yet more bug fixes have been included in the Tottenham Hotspur project, which only deploys one out and out striker. AVB 02 prefers Soldado to Defoe, but Defoe continues to score proficiently. The Adebayor component, which did score a fantastic goal in the 2-2 at Stamford Bridge in May, has been discarded for the time being.

9. Other bug fixes are being deployed as and when required, but some of the existing components of the programme such as Dembele, Townsend and Sigurdsson may be preferred to the presence of Lamela, Sandro and Chadli. Sandro played 90 minutes on Tuesday, and will soon be ready to play alongside his samba partner Paulinho in Premier League games. Chadli made a return from injury, but may start from the bench tomorrow. Other high standard components, such as Lennon and Capoue are close to their return to full training.(Capoue after the next Internatonal break)

10. The AVB 02 enhancement enables Spurs to look down upon Chelsea, despite the past 21 years of Premier League history. It allows us to approach this game with confidence, despite the hi-jacking of the "Willian patch", and despite Chelsea's various other purchases this summer.

Already, Spurs are being spoken of as strong contenders not just for the top four, but even a tilt at the title, although we should perhaps whisper that quietly. A win tomorrow will make such a challenge more than just speculation.

I am sure that Tottenham Hotspur fans will enjoy the AVB upgrade, whatever the result tomorrow. I do, of course hope for a win. Dare I say 1-0?

Tomorrow's referee will be Mike Dean, who was in charge for both of last season's games.

· Spurs' recent record in London Derby matches

· 15 years ago this week, Spurs drew 3-3 at home to Leeds. George Graham was coming to Tottenham but managed Leeds for the last time. A certain centre-half scored two dramatic late goals for Spurs.
