The match was delayed by fifteen minutes which gave time to produce team-sheets for the large crowd that came to see the young future prospects of the two clubs.

Spurs lined up with Carter-Vickers and Maghoma at the back with Campbell-Young at right back and Muscatt on the left. Walkes anchored the midfield with Pritchard and Onomah alongside him. Harrison led the line with Walker-Peters on the right and Georgiou on the left.

Grant had an early shot that was wide before Georgiou drew a save having ridden a couple of tackles. Onomah slipped the ball through to Harrison on the left side of the area and the striker scored with a low drive into the far corner.

Voss saved a back header from Jules while Grant fired wide and Pitfield shot over as the home side pushed for an equaliser. Oakley fired over before Spurs won a free kick on the edge of the area when Georgiou was tripped. Campbell-Young hit the ball under the wall only for King to save.

A free kick by Pritchard found its way to Walkes who drove it wide. Harrison played in Pritchard for an effort that was saved. Georgiou cut inside and fired wide before another run by the winger saw him play in Harrison for a chance that was wide. Harrison drove wide again before a sweeping move was started by Onomah to Georgiou, who fed Harrison whose shot was off target.

Pritchard picked up the ball on the right and made a diagonal run into the middle before firing in from twenty yards for Spurs' second. A minute later and it was three when Onomah was fouled as he drove into the area. Onomah took the kick himself scoring in the right corner with the keeper going the other way. Trotman drew a save as the half ended.

Luton made two changes for the second half and began to pass the ball effectively, which brought them more into the game. Hawkes fired wide and Ngwala hit the post before Trotman played in Ngwala to score for "The Hatters".

Luton continued to keep the pressure on Spurs with Trotman firing wide before Harrison drew a save from King. Spurs made their first change on the hour when Carter-Vickers came off for Ross who went into midfield while Walkes dropped into the back four. Pritchard was then replaced by Amos in midfield.

Walker-Peters made a weaving run down the right before coming inside to score Spurs fourth. Georgiou fired wide before Luton got a goal back. Maghoma fouled Ngwala in the area to concede a penalty and get a booking. Ngwala got up to score from the spot.

More changes saw Hayford come on for Walker-Peters as both coaches sought to give all their players a run-out. Harrison set up a chance for Ross that was wide before Voss was replaced by Glover in goal. Campbell-Young got down the right and crossed for Harrison who drove wide. A long throw-in by Crilly found Jules in space but the Luton captain mis-kicked. Jules did better with his next effort but drove it wide. With time running out Spurs looked for another with Campbell-Young getting forward to fire wide. Amos hit an effort other and Onomah drove wide.

The Spurs youngsters showed good passing skills through the midfield and spread the play well but lacked some of the strength of the Luton players. Walkes did a good job in front of the defence before replacing Carter-Vickers at the back. Carter-Vickers did well at the back against the physical home forwards who had more luck with Maghoma. Georgiou did well on the left side causing the Luton defence problems all game.

The U-16's have another game on Saturday against Birmingham City.
